The Ministry of Works has signed an agreement with the  US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) which will provide it with expertise on geotechnology, hydraulics, health engineering, and road and bridge construction.

Minister of Works and head of the Electricity and Water Authority (EWA) Fahmi bin Ali Al Jowdar signed the agreement yesterday in the presence of US Ambassador to the Kingdom Adam Ereli.

Under the agreement, the USACE will provide the ministry with consultation services for large-scale engineering projects.

In a statement yesterday, the ministry stated that the USACE comprises of more than 30,000 engineers and such wide human resources and expertise will be of great help to the Kingdom.

Al Jowdar added that this agreement comes as part of the ministry's efforts to ensure the highest possible level of performance.
