New research from WealthInsight reveals the top cities for millionaires and billionaires
An elusive statistic that cannot be found in the public domain, the distribution of millionaires in global cities is the focus of new research from London based wealth consultancy WealthInsight, which has released a comprehensive list of the top 20 cities for millionaires worldwide. An extract from the list is reflected below.
According to the WealthInsight analyst Andrew Amolis:
"Tokyo tops our millionaire list and is surprisingly above New York. This is partly due to the fact that many wealthy New Yorkers live off the island in cities such as Greenwich".
WealthInsight has also released a list of the top 20 cities for multi-millionaires (individuals with over US$30 million), and the top 20 cities for billionaires. Both are contained within the attached briefing, which also includes a case study on the top 10 countries for millionaires in 2012 and 2020.
