Al Ain, March 4th, 2012 (WAM) -- The Al Ain City Municipality Building and Construction Sector EHS Department today launched a fully integrated advertising campaign with the theme "Building Responsibly" to promote Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) across the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

Dr. Salim Khalfan Al Kaabi, Director Public Health Division in Al Ain City Municipality, said "For the last 2 years, the EHS Department has been working to raise EHS standards in the Building and Construction Sector within the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, and the aim of this advertising campaign is to highlight these efforts and share the goals of the EHS Department with the general public and residents of Al Ain."Over the coming 6 weeks there will be a targeted advertising campaign starting with lamppost banners in 10 different locations around Al Ain City including: Al Ain Mall; Al Bawadi Mall; Zakher Roundabout; and Al Ain Street and some remote areas like: Rimah, AL Shuwaib, Al Hayer, and Suweihan.

Engineer Ghuwaya Hamad Al Nuaimi added: "In addition to the 40 lamppost banners, 30 individual illuminated sign boxes will be used to display messages with an Environment, Health and Safety theme for the Building and Construction Sector. These signs are located around the central areas of Al Ain city."The campaign will utilise newspaper advertising and vehicle trailer mounted signs to communicate the "Building Responsibly" key message throughout the City. A highlight of the advertising campaign will be the Mall stands set up in Al Ain Mall and Al Bawadi Mall over a two months period from March 8th till may 2nd 2012.

Mall stands will be staffed by EHS Inspectors who will be able to assist members of the public in understanding the work of the EHS Department. Additionally, newsletters and information leaflets will be available to further explain the work and aims of the EHS Department. Branded gifts including flash memory, cups and pens will also be distributed to promote the campaign.

The overall objectives of the advertising campaign are to raise awareness of building and construction EHS issues in Al Ain as well as to promote the success and achievements of the EHS Department over the past 2 years.
