Ruler of Sharjah receives Omani official
Sharjah, Feb 13th, 2012 (WAM)--H. H. Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council member and ruler of Sharjah, received in his office here today Salem bin Nasser Al Maskri, Secretary General of the Higher Education in the Sultanate of Oman, accompanied by Dr Mohammed bin Saad Al Muqadem, Head of History Section at University of Sultan Qaboos.
Sheikh Sultan hailed the role of University of Sultan Qaboos in furthering the education in Oman, referring to future cooperation between the Universities of Qaboos and Sharjah.After the meeting, Al Maskari expressed his pleasure of meeting Sheikh Sultan, conveying to him the regards of Khalid bin Hilal, Minister of Diwan of the Royal Court and Chairman of the Higher Education Council in Oman.He commended the role of Sheikh Sultan, being well-versed in the history of region and Arab world.The two sides discussed during the meeting a number of issues on education and cooperation in the areas of research between University of Qaboos and University of Sharjah, as well as, expertise exchange regarding research and coordination between the two senates in some educational issues to enhance the educational system at the GCC level.After the meeting the Oman delegation toured University of Sharjah and Dara of Dr Sultan Al Qasimi for the Gulf Studies in Sharjah.
