Dubai Municipality all set to launch 'Keep the place clean for others to enjoy it' campaign
Dubai, Jan 5th, 2012 (WAM) -- Dubai Municipality has geared up to launch ‘Keep the place clean for others’ campaign in the first week of February in line with the National Environmental Day celebrations for the second consecutive year.
The move is aimed at spreading awareness on the importance of preserving desert areas among desert visitors and getting rid of negative phenomenon of leaving food and other wastes over desert areas, negatively affecting the desert environment and landscape.Eng. Abdul Majeed Sifai , Director of Waste Management Department said the campaign will shed light on one of the important environmental issues in the United Arab Emirates and intensify the efforts to raise awareness of the negative impacts of the issue and publicize the efforts made by the concerned authorities in the country in facing it, and protecting the environment and its development in general.
