Rugby World Cup Winner Jason Robinson in UAE to offer his experience (updated)
Abu Dhabi, Oct 27th, 2011 (WAM)-- HSBC rugby ambassador Jason Robinson jetted into the UAE this week for his second appearance in the Middle East in recent weeks.
Robinson, World Cup winner with England in 2003, is lending his expertise to a series of coaching sessions with young children on Friday in Abu Dhabi, designed to help grow participation in the game and get more young children playing the sport regularly.The England legend is appearing today at the HSBC -sponsored Etihad Airways Junior Rugby Festival to lead participating children and teams through a variety of training sessions at the HSBC Skills Zone."We are so pleased to have an icon of global rugby with us in Abu Dhabi this weekend to get involved with one of the junior festivals that we support in the region," said Marcus Hurry, Deputy CEO, HSBC Bank Middle East Limited."But it’s not just club rugby that will benefit from Jason’s expertise this weekend as we are also working with the UAE Rugby Association to help introduce a selection of young players from local schools to the game. UAE is fast developing into a regional and international hub for rugby and we hope to help continue to grow the game here with our support for the game at all levels," he added.
