Lubna Al-Qasimi opens Algerian Traditional Industry Week in Abu Dhabi
Abu Dhabi, Dec. 21, 2008 (WAM) -- Minister of foreign Trade, Sheikha Lubna bint Khalid Al-Qasimi, Saturday evening inaugurated the Algerian Traditional Industry Week in UAE at the Mina Zayed branch of the Abu Dhabi Cooperative society . Algerian Minister for Small and Medium Scale and Traditional Industries, Moustafa bin Badah and Algerian Ambassador, Hamid Chebira, were present at the opening ceremony of the event which will last until December 27.
The UAE Minister, flanked by the Algerian minister, the Algerian ambassadors and other officials, toured the exhibition ground to have first hand information about the exhibits on show.Sheikha Lubna commended the holding of the event, which aims at boosting further economic ties between the UAE and Algeria, in view of the fact that the UAE is the leading Arab investor in Algeria with a total investment of about US$50 billion.The first day of the show attracted a large number of visitors.The exhibition consists of various activities, including businessmen forum, traditional fashion and cuisine shows and antiquities exhibition.
