Umm al-Qaiwain, 13th May, 2013 (WAM) -- H.H. Sheikh Rashid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mu'alla, Crown Prince of Umm al-Qaiwain, was briefed today on the strategic plan of the Federal Authority for Electricity and Water programmes, as well as the new projects being implemented in the emirate for the development of the electricity network.

This came during a meeting of Suhail bin Mohammed Faraj Faris Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Federal Authority for Electricity and Water with the Crown Prince in his office at the Emiri Diwan.

A number of new projects currently being implemented by the Authority in the emirate were came under discussion. These projects will increase the electricity generation and improve water network in the area.

The meeting was attended by Sheikh Saif bin Rashid Al-Mu'alla, Chairman of the Department of Economic Development in Umm Al Qaiwain, Sheikh Ahmad bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mu'alla, Vice Chairman of the Executive Council for Umm Al Qaiwain, Engineer Sheikh Ahmed bin Khalid Al Mu'alla, Chairman of the Department of Planning and Survey in Umm Al Qaiwain, Nasser Saeed Al Tallai, Director of the Emiri Court in UAQ, and Mohammed Mohammed Saleh, Director-General of the Federal Electricity and Water Authority.
