Dubai Construction major Arabtec said yesterday it has been awarded a contract worth Dh200 million of Al Baraka Group for the construction of the company’s headquarters.
“We are very pleased to inaugurate our achievements for the new year in 2011 by signing this contract,” said Adnan Ahmad Yousuf, CEO of Al Baraka Banking Group.
The new head office building for Al Baraka is located in Bahrain Bay. Composed of two office towers, that will have approximately nine levels above ground plus a mezzanine level, the gross floor area will be 22,221 square metres in addition to four basement levels for carpark and facilities. The gross development area is 38,540 square metres for the entire project of total 14 floors.
Riad Kamal, CEO of Arabtec Holding, said that his company “is proud to be associated with Al Baraka Group and this prestigious project. The award of this project is yet another solid step in our successful geographic expansion strategy.”
The two towers are joined by a podium and ground plaza level, while the upper floors are linked by a bridgeway. On top of the podium complex the building is divided into two office towers, one for lease and the other as the headquarters of the bank. The podium level consists of banking, retail and VIP reception area.
