Earning miles and points with your mobile phone is a big success

Amsterdam, September 7th, 2008 - Travelling Connect, the service where frequent travellers can earn miles by making calls abroad, announced today that it has welcomed its 100.000th registered member. When Travelling Connect's members make use of the mobile network of any of Travelling Connect's customers, these members earn frequent flyer miles or frequent traveller points.

Since the foundation in 2004, Travelling Connect closed many partnership with airlines and hotel companies like Air France / KLM, Thai Airways, Malaysia Airlines, Hilton and Marriott. In 2008 more airline and hotel companies have joined Travelling Connect, amongst others Lufthansa (Miles & More), InterContinental Hotel Group (Priority Rewards), Northwest Airlines (WorldPerks), Gulf Air (FFP Program), Etihad Airways (Etihad Guest) and AeroSvit Airlines (Meridian Program). The customer base of Travelling Connect has grown rapidly due to these new partners. Travelling Connect expects to achieve a further strong increase in its registered base as more mobile operators will launch together with Travelling Connect a new loyalty and churn program for its own end-user base.

Marcel Wientjen, Managing Director of Travelling Connect adds: "We are very pleased that we reached the threshold of 100.000 registered mobile phone numbers. It proofs that high-value business travellers are interested in earning frequent flyer miles or frequent traveller points with their mobile phone. Our service is very well suited for high value spenders. Our top spenders are calling more than 30 hours per month and earn as such a free airline ticket or hotel stay by making use of our service."

Marcel Wientjen further added: "We expect a further steep increase in registered members as more airline, hotel loyalty programs and mobile operators will join Travelling Connect. New airline partners are for example Aeroflot and Sri Lanka Airlines. A new mobile operator is Zain Sudan, the pioneer of GSM Service in Sudan. Moreover more and more mobile operators are going to offer our new loyalty and churn program to its own end-user base. This new service branded under the name "outbound loyalty service" will be offered to Mobitel subscribers in Sri Lanka and other countries will follow soon".

Registered members of Travelling Connect are typically business managers who frequently travel abroad. A survey showed that 60% of Travelling Connect's registered members travel abroad at least 15 times per year. As much as 20% of registered members travel internationally at least 60 times per year.
