The Ajman Palace Gears Up for Opening with Green Agenda

In the countdown to its launch later this summer, The Ajman Palace managed by HMH - Hospitality Management is exhibiting on the corporate as well as Ajman Destination stands at this year's Arabian Travel Market to introduce a new concept in regional hospitality to the travel trade.

The first major deluxe hotel development in Ajman for more than a decade, The Ajman Palace will define the emirate's ambitions to become a player on the international tourism scene, as well as becoming the premier meeting venue in the area.

The 254-unit hotel enjoys a central location on its own private beach and opposite the Ruler's Palace, while among its unique facilities are family units, Lifestyle Club rooms with additional amenities and one- and two-bedroom residences.

According to General Manager Roland Obermeier, one key feature of the hotel will be its green credentials, from the management's use of e-cards rather than paper business cards through to solar energy panels on the roof that are used to generate hot water.

"As a new hotel, it has been one of the priorities from the outset to look after our environment," he said. "Whether it is in the small things such as doing away with business cards, or on-going initiatives including the use of solar energy, The Ajman Palace aims to set an example for the community.

"This approach has a business aspect too as many guests from overseas are now asking about green policies before booking a hotel room," he added.

Another major attraction at The Ajman Palace will be the 1,200 sq metre ballroom, the largest in the northern Emirates with a grand foyer and two adjacent terraces, as well as its Conference Hall and three meeting rooms and a VIP Function area.

In addition, the hotel will offer a range of cuisines including fine dining Arabic style, a Japanese and Thai fusion restaurant, all-day dining, pool lounge, lobby café serving delicacies from Vienna and the Rooftop Shisha Lounge where Shisha Createurs will be on hand to mix designer flavours.

"Any hotel opening now has to appeal across a wide range of markets to sustain occupancies, and we believe that The Ajman Palace has the credentials to attract overseas leisure travellers, business guests, those seeking an exceptional venue whether for a conference or a wedding, as well as offering a fabulous destination for a short break," said Mr Christian Huschka the hotel's Director of Business Development.

"And with our exciting new concepts in culinary adventures, there is no doubt that The Ajman Palace will be the 'must visit' venue when it opens later this year."
