MUSCAT -- A delegation from the Taiwanese photovoltaic (PV) industry, in co-operation with Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI), will visit the Sultanate of Oman from May 26 to 28. The visit is as part of the delegation's aim to further develop the Middle Eastern market, expand overseas trade and conduct trade diplomacy. The delegation will consist of 30 members, including representatives of major Taiwanese PV enterprises such as TSMC Solar (TSMC), NexPower (UMC) and Green Energy Technology (Tatung), as well as experts of the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI).

The delegation will call on representatives of decision-making bodies of large-scale power plant construction projects, commercial and industrial associations, large-scale solar energy companies, hydroelectricity companies, and national scientific research institutes. Furthermore, press conferences and networking events will be held to raise the profile of Taiwan's PV industry in the Middle East and expand business opportunities.

Meanwhile, the nine ROC representative offices in the Middle East also assist Taiwanese PV enterprises in conducting business in the region by collecting information about target markets and cultivating business network. The Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO), Muscat and OCCI have organised a seminar and B2B meeting on May 27 at Crowne Plaza, Muscat. Interested companies can contact OCCI or TECO, Muscat for details.
