Sharjah Ruler feted in Bahrain
Manama, 5 May 2012 (WAM) - His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah has been honoured with special prize by the School Theatre Festival, organised for the first time in the Kingdom of Bahrain and coincided with the celebrations of selecting Manama as the Arab Cultural Capital for 2012.
Sheikh Sultan was honoured in recognition of his literary and theatrical contributions both regionally and internationally. The prize was received on Sheikh Sultan's behalf by Sheikh Isam bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Chief of the Sharjah Ruler's Office, during the opening ceremony of the festival. The festival, which was opened on Thursday by Bahraini Education Minister Dr Majid bin Ali Al Nuaimi, is being attended by theatre groups from different GCC countries and Yemen.
