On the first day of the National Career Exhibition

Sharjah, UAE - Sharjah Islamic Bank (SIB) continues its participation in the 18th National Career Exhibition which is being held at the Expo Centre Sharjah from the 10th to 12th of February 2016, with the participation of many banks, financial institutions, and local and federal government authorities in the UAE.

On the first day of the event, the bank's stand was visited by a large number of citizens, mainly undergraduate students, who are interested in working in the banking sector. Sharjah Islamic Bank received over 300 job applications during the three-day exhibition.

The bank's participation in the exhibition is part of its strategy to attract national talents in the banking sector and develop them through a series of training programmes that are designed to prepare a new generation of national leaders in the banking industry in the UAE. SIB is committed to taking part in this exhibition which serves as an ideal platform to meet and interview skilled Emirati potential candidates.

Speaking on the occasion, Eman Jassim, Head of the Human Resources Group at Sharjah Islamic Bank, said: "We at Sharjah Islamic Bank are striving to attract, recruit and retain skilled and ambitious national talents who are motivated to serve the banking sector in the UAE. We are committed to nurturing the talented Emirati workforce, giving them the opportunity to join the banking sector, and developing and retaining them to be future leaders of this industry. Through our participation in this exhibition, we have received a large number of university and high college students in the UAE who are interested in learning about the job opportunities available at the bank, as well as the training programmes which give them a golden opportunity to gain practical experience."
