SeedStartup to host startup demo day in Dubai: Web & mobile startups from across the globe

In addition to funding, SeedStartup also provides hands-on support through a diverse, high-caliber mentor network of over 50 best-in-class entrepreneurs, investors and domain experts. Just 2% of the applicants are ultimately selected for the program, making it more selective than MIT, Stanford and Harvard Business School. SeedStartup is a member of the Techstars initiated, Global Accelerator Network. Since its launch, SeedStartup has provided over 850 hours of hand-on mentorship. Its model has twice the number of mentoring sessions per startup as a typical accelerator.

SteadyFare lets travelers lock-in their airfare price months in advance so they don't have to worry about price upswings and can plan their trip on their own schedule. By allowing customers to lock-in fares over a range of potential departure dates, SteadyFare provides flexibility and peace of mind for travelers who can't yet pin down their exact departure date but don't want to delay purchasing and risk paying more.

Locuming

Target market: Healthcare temps

Locuming enables healthcare temps to connect directly with employers, eliminating the need to go through inefficient, intermediary locum agencies. Employers are able to fill shifts more quickly and cost effectively, while temps are able to more effectively plan their work schedules without making or receiving a single annoying agency phone call.

TaxiMonger

TaxiMonger is Southeast Asia's virtual taxi call-centre. Customer orders made via TaxiMonger's mobile app are forwarded directly to taxi-drivers for a quick, painless booking experience. By using TaxiMonger, taxi drivers increase efficiency and are able to generate greater daily sales.

Metwit

Metwit is a crowd-sourcing social weather application that enables users to get accurate, hyper-local weather conditions from real people. User generated weather "tags" are combined with Instagram & Twitter-mined weather data and overlaid onto a map of the vicinity. Users receive automatic notifications of bad weather conditions heading their way before the weather actually changes for the worse.

Rasello

Rasello is an SMS broadcast & customer acquisition platform for small businesses in Africa. Consumers opt-in to follow specific businesses of interest and receive relevant SMS messages with discounts & promotions. Exa Technologies

Exa provides significantly accelerated rendering-as-a-service for animation studios & freelancers. With Exa's cloud-based GPGPU accelerated servers & proprietary framework, animators are able to enjoy a 100x speedup in the rendering process without incurring the fixed costs of building an expensive in-house rendering farm.
