Saudization gains momentum
The Corp Executive Hotel Deira in Riyadh announced Tuesday that it has achieved nearly 60 percent Saudization, with 41 out of the total 70 staff are Saudis.
General Manager Akram Shaar said the success of the HR department and management policy in attracting and training Saudi staff underlines the potential to develop the local component of any hotel operation in the Kingdom.
"We are delighted to have Saudi nationals working in a variety of positions, ranging from kitchen stewards and room attendants through to front office receptionists and bell boys, as well as a strong representation in the sales department and at management level," he said.
Another private firm, Ewaan Global Residential Co. announced Tuesday that it will employ more Saudis.
Engineer Fahad Mohammad Al Mutawa, Ewaan 's CEO, said Saudization level in Ewaan is currently 38 percent, and will rise to 45 percent when by employment of more Saudis during Q2 2011. He added that the company is highly committed to Saudization based on its belief that Saudi nationals represent the future of the company.
Various segments of real estate industry need skilled people capable of achieving ambitions, a fact that motivates Ewaan to hire Saudis.
