MoH approves 67 projects worth SR7b
He said the ministry will build 12 new hospitals with 3,100 beds, in addition to clinics, oncology centers, dentistry centers and housing for hospital staff.
"These new hospitals will be built in several regions of the Kingdom based on need." Fifteen clinics will be built in Riyadh, an oncology center in Madina and a forensics medicine center in Jizan.
In addition, 262 hospitals will be supplied with emergency power generators and will have all their intensive care and emergency units improved, he added.
He said that 16 health facilities will be built in Makkah region, six in the Eastern Province and seven in Madina. "The projects in Madina include building residential units for hospital staff and supplying several hospitals with necessary furniture and equipment."
Al-Marghalani said the King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz Arabic Health Encyclopedia was also approved.
The government has ensured that there has been remarkable improvement in terms of its development, he pointed out.
Al-Marghalani said the ministry is providing the best possible services for patients, thanks to the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.
