Interior Ministry to look after industrial security
The NG handed over the task to the security forces.
Prince Miteb, who was on an inspection tour of the National Guard office in Dammam, said all military sectors are routinely moved and relocated all around the year.
"There is no need to wonder about the military movements around the Kingdom's provinces."
Regarding the jobs ordered by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah to be created in the NG, Prince Miteb said they would be distributed very soon to meet the needs of NG sectors.
He hoped the new jobs would cover the entire Kingdom through a comprehensive strategy.
"Our forces are ready for any order from King Abdullah. We are fully prepared.
"We study all our needs for the future and this is why we are calling for equipment and sufficient supplies for five years."
The commander said the housing project for NG officers would see the light after a year and a half.
He also spoke about new ideas to strengthen the National Guard, adding they would be implemented soon.
Earlier on arrival, Prince Miteb was received by Prince Mishaal bin Badr bin Saud, commander of NG for the Eastern Sector, and Maj. Gen. Abdullah Mufeez, assistant commander for military affairs in the Eastern Sector.
Earlier addressing NG officers in the Eastern Province, Prince Miteb commended their sacrifices in protecting the Kingdom's security and stability.
"We should be fully prepared to preserve the security of our beloved country."
He also disclosed plans to restructure some of the National Guard units.
"The National Guard plays a supplementary role along with the armed forces and security forces."
