RIYADH--State giant Saudi Arabian Oil Co., known as Saudi Aramco, said it has controlled a limited gas leak that occurred Monday morning at its 350,000 barrel-a-day Jeddah refinery and led to the death of one of its employees.
The leak occurred during a periodic preventive maintenance, it said in a statement.
The company's operations haven't been affected by the leak and Aramco is conducting an investigation to find out the causes of the incident, it added.
