Saudi-based Arabian Shield Co-operative Insurance Company and seven others received the final licence from the country's central bank, Riyadh-based business daily Al Eqtisadiah reported.

This will bring insurance companies getting the final licence to nine, including NCCI, the newspaper reported.

Bahrain-registered Arabian Shield was operating in the Kingdom for 10 years through a local agent.
