Saudi Arabia: Chamber's Committee Adopts An Action Plan For Industrial Sector's Saudization
Dammam, May 9, 2011, SPA -- The Industrial Committee of the Eastern Province's Chamber of Commerce and Industry expressed its intention to implement an action plan to raise rates of the Saudization process and jobs in the industrial sector during a meeting held here yesterday.In a statement issued this morning, The Committee's Chairman Salman bin Mohammed Al-Jashi said that the plan agreed upon by the members of the Committee focused on the current efforts including a well-defined working system to achieve the highest rate of employment for Saudis in factories through an on-job training scheme.
He said the Committee also urged for creation of a Fund for (the National) Human Resources to support the training directly and to contribute to the preparation of a study for the establishment of the Technical Institute in the Second Industrial City in order to provide the national manpower for factories.
"The meeting also dealt with the preparations for the 4th Forum for Industrialists that the Committee intends to organize in the current year and the agreement on the main title of the meeting. It was agreed upon (by the Committee) that the title should be "Renewable Energy and How to Use it in the field of Industry."
