JEDDAH: Higher Education Minister Khaled Al-Anqari on Tuesday signed construction contracts worth more than SR2 billion for Qassim University.
The new projects to be implemented at the university include construction of a 400-bed hospital, four health colleges and staff housing units.
Suleiman Al-Faridi, director of projects and maintenance at the university, said the hospital project would cost SR442.48 million.
Construction of an administrative building for health colleges and buildings for the College of Applied Medical Sciences, College of Dentistry, College of Pharmacology and College of Nursing will cost SR529.68 million.
He said construction of buildings for girls' health colleges would cost SR350 million. As many as 314 villas will be constructed for staff accommodation at a total cost of SR681.67 million.
