DOHA: RasGas Company Ltd (RasGas) was named as the 'Best Energy Company of the Year' by Arabian Business at their annual Achievement Awards ceremony here recently.
Abdulla Hashim, Public Affairs Manager, received the award on behalf of the company at a ceremony at the Four Seasons Hotel, Doha. "On behalf of RasGas, I am very proud to accept this award, which acknowledges and celebrates RasGas' extraordinary achievements in the last year," said Hashim.
"This award is a clear demonstration of our commitment to the Emir of Qatar, His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani's vision and further underlines the company's position as one of the world's premier and most reliable suppliers of liquefied natural gas, underpinned by a world-class performance in safety, health and environmental management", added he.
More than 200 senior government officials and special industry guests attended the regional business event. Now in their 11th year, the Arabian Business Achievement Awards are designed to recognise excellence among companies and individuals across all business sectors in the Arab world.
Nominations are reviewed by a judging panel of top executives from the ITP publishing group and editors from Arabian Business magazine, who select the worthy winners in a wide range of categories.
