RAM Ratings has received confirmation that the sole holder of Mukah Power Generation Sdn Bhd's ("Mukah Power") RM285 million Junior Sukuk Programme (2006/2031) ("Junior Sukuk"), Sarawak Power Generation Sdn Bhd ("Sarawak Power"), has approved the resolution to withdraw the rating of the debt facility. As such, RAM Ratings has at the request of Mukah Power withdrawn the A2 rating of the Junior Sukuk and no longer has any rating obligation on the debt facility. Sarawak Power is the sister company of Mukah Power under Sarawak Energy Berhad; it holds the Junior Sukuk as equity contribution to Mukah Power.
