Qatar Airways opens Heathrow premium lounge
Qatar Airways has opened a premium lounge at Heathrow airport, underlining the importance of the airline's route from London to Doha, which is one of the busiest in its network.The new facility, which is situated at the UK hub's fourth terminal, is the carrier's first dedicated lounge for first and business class passengers outside Qatar.
It is designed in the style of a boutique hotel or private members' club and offers amenities including private showers with heated floors and luxury toiletries.
Introducing the new facility, Akbar al Baker, chief executive of Qatar Airways , said: "London has long been one of our best-performing routes, so Heathrow was an obvious choice for our first premium lounge outside Doha."
