HRH Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz Alsaud, Chairman of Kingdom Holding Company (KHC) received at his office in Riyadh His Excellency President Issoufou Mahamadou of Niger, First Lady and an accompanying delegation on Saturday 12th May 2012 in the presence of HH Princess Ameerah Al-Taweel, Vice Chairwoman of Alwaleed Bin Talal Foundation that is chaired by HRH. The meeting was attended by Ms. Heba Fatani, Senior Executive Manger Corporate Communications Department, Dr. Nahla Alanbar, Private Executive Assistant to HRH the Chairman and Ms. Intisar Al-Yamani, Executive Manger Corporate Communications Department, Mr. Hani Agha, Senior Manager Travel and External Affairs and Dr. Jihad Aoukal, HRH's Private Physician.

The President's delegation included HE Mr. Bazoum Mohamed, Minister of State, Foreign Minister of Cooperation, Integration, HE Mr. Amadou Boubacar Cisse, Minister of State, Minister of Planning and Community Development, HE Mr. Soumana Sanda, Minister of Health, Mr. Hassoumi Massoudou, Office Manager of HE the President and HE Mr. Katchallou Mohamed Ibrahim, Ambassador of Niger to Saudi Arabia.

During the meeting the two discussed social, humanitarian and economic issues. Moreover, the President expressed his gratitude to HRH's continuous help and contributions to Niger. The President commended Prince Alwaleed on his efforts in playing a vital role in economic and social development, and referred to HRH's local, regional and international investments.

Recently, Prince Alwaleed received at his office in Riyadh HE Mr. Sumana Hadu Oudo, Advisor to President of Niger.

In 2006, Prince Alwaleed visited Niger and was bestowed "The Order of the Merit of Niger Medal" by the former President in recognition for his efforts on the humanitarian and economical fronts.

In 2009, Alwaleed Foundation- Global (registered in Lebanon), has supported The Carter Center's Trachoma Program in Niger and Mali. Also, in 2008 the Foundation donated  £30,000 Al Madad Foundation to publish "Desert Faces, The Silent Witnesses of the Niger Drought" book. In 2005, Prince Alwaleed donated through Alwaleed Foundation $1.2 million for food to feed 2 million people for three months.  Also in 2005, the Foundation further donated $1 million to the Food Security Reserve for disasters that contributes to the fight against starvation. Moreover, the Foundation donated $250,000 to a program designed to eradicate poverty by funding the drilling of artesian wells, and financing clinics throughout Niger in 2004.
