PM urges Jordanian-Czech cooperation in investments
AMMAN -- Prime Minister Fayez Tarawneh on Tuesday urged Jordanian and Czech investors to hold meetings to examine prospects for further cooperation.During a meeting at the International Trade Chamber in Prague, Tarawneh, who returned to Amman later on Tuesday, highlighted investment opportunities in the Kingdom.
The roundtable discussion was held by ministers of tourism and trade Nayef Al Fayez and Shabib Ammari, who were accompanying the premier during his visit, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Tarawneh outlined Jordan's positions towards various regional issues, highlighting progress made by the Kingdom in the reform process.
On Monday night, Tarawneh held a meeting with Speaker of the Czech Parliament Miroslava Nemcova and Senate Vice President Premysl Sobotka on means to boost bilateral ties.
Tarawneh outlined the laws finalised in the Kingdom to pave the way for a safer and more stable political and economic environment in the country.
The Czech officials commended Jordan's security and stability.
Tarawneh visited the Czech Republic upon an invitation from his counterpart Petr Necas.
On Monday, the premier met with Necas and discussed means to increase economic cooperation, focusing on ways to increase Czech investments in Jordan in energy, water and mega-projects.
