MUSCAT -- The Board of Omantel has decided to convene an Extraordinary General meeting (EGM) on October 12, 2011, to discuss the proposed merger of Oman Mobile Telecommunications Co LLC (Oman Mobile) with Oman Telecommunications Co SAOG (Omantel).
It follows the approval of the merger proposal by Oman Mobile's Partner merger. Earlier the merger proposal was also discussed by the Board of Omantel, the telecom services provider stated in a disclosure notification to the Capital Market Authority.
