Oman Oil Marketing Company (Omanoil) has signed an aviation fuel agreement with Etihad Airways, which flies to 84 destinations across the globe, to become the carrier's sole provider in the sultanate.

The company will supply jet fuel to the entire fleet of Etihad aircraft landing at Muscat International Airport and extend its technical, logistical and engineering support, Omanoil said in  a press release.

"Signing this contract with a world-renowned carrier of this calibre reinforces our globally recognised aviation expertise and capabilities," said Ahmad Kamel Mahmud, general manager of aviation and marine fuels at Omanoil.

"We remain committed to quality and efficiency in parallel to safety and security measurements of regulatory requirements, and have implemented a number of measures to control fuel quality at every stage of the supply chain."

Poised to become a prominent contender in the aviation fuel business, omanoil has greatly expanded its customer portfolio of major commercial airlines and key government accounts.

Omanoil has signed a number of exclusive contracts with leading global carriers such as British Airways, SwissAir, Lufthansa, Thai Airways and Biman Bangladesh.

Ahmad said that best-in-class customer experience is what differentiates Omanoil in the marketplace.
