Muscat: Oman received 2,695 refugees from 48 nationalities via the land borders during in the past two weeks. States whose citizens were trapped in Yemen requested that Oman allow them to cross the border.

Meanwhile, injured Yemeni nationals affected by the war in Yemen have been treated in different Omani hospitals. Many of those have sustained medium to severe injuries, according to sources.

Oman is the only member of the Gulf Cooperation council not to have taken part in the Saudi-led Operation Storm of Resolve against the Al Houthi militia in Yemen.
