Oil pumping from Kirkuk-Yumurtalik pipeline suspended due to fire

ERBIL, August 27 (AKnews)
Oil pumping from Iraq to Turkey has been suspended temporarily due to a fire in the Kirkuk-Yumurtalik pipeline in Srnakh, Sabah newspaper reported today.
The fire occurred in Dorkulu village in Slopi town. According to the source the fire started last night and was under control by early Monday morning.
The cause of the fire is still unknown.
Militants of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) have attacked the pipeline many times. The militants blew up the pipeline in early August and oil exports were halted for a week.
