Egypt signed six agreements to explore for oil and natural gas with BP Plc and IEOC, a unit of Italy's Eni SpA, Egypt's Oil Ministry said yesterday.

The agreements have a total investment cost of $2.3 billion and aim to explore oil and gas in the Eastern Desert, the Nile Delta, the Gulf of Suez and northern Sinai, the ministry said in Cairo yesterday.
