The Parliament Speaker, Osama al-Nujaifi and a delegation from al- Iraqiya List headed to Erbil on Wednesday to discuss the political and security situation with Kurdish leaders, the decision maker of the parliament , Muhammad Al-Khalidi revealed .
"Nujaifi and a number of al- Iraqiya List MPs headed today to Erbil to meet with the President of Kurdistan, Massoud Barzani and Kurdish leaders and discuss the political and security situation with them," Khalidi told "Shafaq News".
The Parliament Speaker, Osama al-Nujaifi announced on Tuesday, filing a lawsuit against Prime Minister, Nuri al-Maliki because of what the latter described as " accusations" and "incitement "against the parliament and the call to boycott it.
Maliki has attacked strongly on Monday, the parliament and accused him of aggravating the situation, while called to boycott the emergency session called by Parliament Speaker , Osama al-Nujaifi to discuss the security situation in the country.
Nujaifi called last Saturday, to convene an emergency session of the parliament on Tuesday on the background of the deteriorating security situation in the country, in the presence of deputy Defense Minister, Saadoun al-Dulaimi, senior deputy of the Ministry of Interior, Adnan al-Asadi and a number of security leaders.
It is noteworthy that Baghdad and other provinces of the country have suffered since last Wednesday till Tuesday to a series of car bomb attacks and roadside bombs that claimed the lives of dozens, as observers say that the country was not exposed to the ongoing attacks on a daily basis such as those occurred in this period.
