Newly elected Egyptian president to travel to Iran: report

TEHRAN - Egypt's first democratically-elected president, Mohamed Morsi, is scheduled to participate in the Non-Aligned Movement summit in Tehran in late August, the Lebanese newspaper As-Safir reported on Tuesday.

Currently, Egypt holds the NAM presidency. During the summit in Tehran Morsi will hand over the NAM presidency to President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

The As-Safir newspaper said there is a possibility that Tehran-Cairo relations will be subject to great change in the next month.
