Fujairah: A new 5-star hotel and resort has opened its doors in Dibba, Fujairah, as the drive to attract more tourists continues on the East Coast.
Hotel JAL Fujairah Resort and Spa is a joint Kuwaiti and Japanese project built at a cost of Dh213 million.
Kuwaiti real estate development company ACICO owns and manages JAL Fujairah Resort and Spa and JAL Tower Dubai as well as other investments in and outside Kuwait.
The 257 room hotel will be operated by JAL Hotel Co Ltd, a subsidiary of Japan Airlines, making it the first Japanese hotel operating company in the 5-star UAE market.
Frank Gueuning, General Manager of the hotel, says response has been promising. "We are now nearly fully booked for our first week of operations".
