DUBAI: H.H. Sheikh Majed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, recently opened the Childhood Carnival at Mirdif City Centre, Dubai.
Accompanied by the Foundation's Director General, Afraa Al Basti, Sheikh Majed toured the venue of the event which was organised by the Dubai Foundation for Women and Children under the theme The campaign, "Protect Childhood, It's Precious" as part of its campaign to protect youngsters and to teach them how to seek help and take action to protect themselves before they are harmed. At the venue, children engaged in activities such as playing games, painting and reading stories. Sheikh Majed was briefed by Al Basti on the achievements made by Foundation in recent years and on the goals of the awareness campaign.Copyright Emirates News Agency (WAM) 2013.
