The event's 49th edition that will be held in Cannes (France) from 1-4 April 2012, is expected to host more than 11,000 decision makers from over 100 countries according to Ted Baracos, Director Market Development at MIPTV.
He added that the largest platform for the TV world is expanding its scope to provide digital and mobile providers and advertisers from all over the world with unique opportunities to be exposed to the latest developments in creating, producing, licensing, financing, distributing state-of-the-art content across all platforms.

The 2012 edition will have a special focus on digital innovation and distribution, fiction screenings and co-productions, kids' animation and live action, branded entertainment and 3DTV. Key speakers include Josh Sapan, President and CEO, AMC Networks Inc., who will deliver a Media Mastermind keynote address on the value of original programming and how to create entertainment brands of distinction in an increasingly competitive world. Jonathan Mildenhall, Vice President Global Advertising Strategy and Content Excellence for The Coca-Cola Company, will highlight key strategies to create compelling content that engages audiences in new and innovative ways and builds emotional connections across multiple consumer touch points.
