Dubai - SGI Dubai show, set to open in a couple of weeks (January 15-17th, 2017) caters to exactly those regions, forecasted to see a big boost in advertising revenue – MENA and Africa.

As global advertising revenue is set to reach $532 revenue in 2016, an increase of 7.1 percent, global brands will increase spending in the upcoming years, thanks to the global economy getting back on track. Revenue from advertising accounted for 0.69 percent of global GDP in 2016, up from 0.66 percent in 2015. Collective power of the top 10 markets has dropped from 76 to 75 percent in 2016.  Four of the five highest growth regions were in Africa, with Ghana and Kenya having seen a growth of above 20 percent, according to IHS.

In 2016, online advertising will account for almost $160 billion, or 30 percent of global revenue. Print advertising sits in third with $101 billion, followed by radio with 8.4 percent of the market and $47 billion in revenue.

“As global advertising revenue is forecast to grow to $590 billion, with the strongest growth in double digits coming from Middle East and Africa, SGI Dubai 2017 is the exhibition that caters to media companies looking to participate in the upswing”, says Mr. Sharif Rahman, CEO, IEC. “Last but not least the latest initiatives by the UAE and the upcoming Expo 2020 will drive the demand for new and state-of-the-art machinery and software – all that can be seen at SGI Dubai show.”

SGI Dubai 2017 show is held from January 15th to 17th 2017 at the halls 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
