Dubai: 22nd February 2012 - Lloyds TSB Middle East, part of one of the world's largest banking groups, has once again received notable praise from the Emirates Institute of Banking and Financial Studies (EIBFS). The Bank was today awarded a certificate of thanks and recognition for achieving an Emiratisation figure of more than 40%. This is the 5th year that Lloyds TSB has continued to exceed its Emiratisation target.
The award was presented under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, at the annual Sharjah Careers fair to Lloyds TSB Executive Advisor AbdulRahman Saqr.
Commenting on the occasion, Richard Musty, Managing Director of Lloyds TSB Middle East said,
"As an International bank based in the UAE, Emiratisation is a key focus for us. We remain committed to carefully developing and delivering comprehensive training schemes which provide UAE Nationals with the practical skills and experiences that allow them to excel within the banking industry".
The award follows the successful graduation of 70 Emiratis from the Bank's 2011 Undergraduate Development Programme (UDP) under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansoor Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The Bank has been an active endorser of Emiratisation since it first launched its flagship UDP programme in 2007.

EIBFS provides training and education for banking professionals working within the United Arab Emirates. It also aims to create a pool of United Arab Emirates Nationals capable of pursuing careers in the banking and financial sectors. EIBS sponsors the annual Sharjah careers fair.
