Abu Dhabi
To celebrate the spirit of Ramadan, many roads and squares in the capital have been decorated with festive lighting.
The lights depict a variety of lanterns, as well as geometric shapes, and have been installed by the Municipality of Abu Dhabi City.
“The Ramadan lights currently illuminate Bainounah Street, Corniche Road, the Breakwater, Al Bateen Street and Al Maqtaa Street,” Khalid Allaq Al Hammadi, head of events at the municipality, said in a statement yesterday.
A total of 470 geometric patterns, 510 decorative symbols, 200 stars, 200 crescents, and 100 Ramadan lanterns have been installed.
“Abu Dhabi will continue to glitter in lights throughout the holy month of Ramadan and during Eid Al Fitr,” he added.
