ERBIL - The Kurdistan Region's Ministry of Municipalities has signed a $2.4m (2.7bn IQD) contract with Lebanese companies to draw-up master plans for several towns and parishes.

The contracts were made with Khatib and Ilmaiya companies for master plans for Hiran, Ble, Mergasor, Dukan, Ruvia, Qasrok, Rizgari and Kifri, said design manager at the ministry Abdul-Moemen Taha.

The first phase of the project was explained for engineers today at the ministry in Erbil.
