Middle East's leading resort continues winning run at the annual Hotelier awards

Fujairah, United Arab Emirates: This month's Hotelier Middle East Awards 2008 at Madinat Jumeirah in Dubai saw Joseph K J, Management Accountant at Le Méridien Al Aqah Beach Resort, awarded Accounting Person of the Year, for his long-standing role in managing the hotel's accounts, from the resort's pre-opening days to the present.

Le Méridien Al Aqah has been prominent in the awards, and last year saw Sunil Panaparambil recognised as Laundry Manager Of The Year.

For Joseph, who works tirelessly to ensure the resort's accounts and procedures are followed to the letter, while also increasing revenue, the award came as a pleasant surprise.

"I have always believed that the greatest reward comes from doing a job well and ensuring our guests are happy, so the award was quite a pleasant surprise. I couldn't have achieved the award without the tremendous support I receive daily from the management at Le Méridien Al Aqah and from the accounting team. The award gives me more motivation to continue with the plans and strategies I have for the accounting department," said Joseph.

"The entire Le Méridien Al Aqah is indeed truly proud of his outstanding accomplishment and recognizes his hard work and dedication for making his department so successful", said Patrick Antaki, General Manager, Le Méridien Al Aqah.

The Hotelier Middle East Awards are awarded annually to recognize members of the Middle East's hotel industry, ranging from all areas of operations to the Marketing/PR Person of the Year.
