KUWAIT, April 12 (KUNA) -- Kuwaiti crude oil dropped 79 cents and settled at USD 101.45 per barrel (pb) on Thursday, compared to the previous price rate of USD 102.24 pb, said Kuwait Petroleum Corporation on Friday.

The price effects on crude global market remained unchanged, despite US Energy Information Administration releasing a report on Thursday that showed growth to US crude reserves, including reports by OPEC which expected an increase in consumer energy this year of 800 thousands pb a day.

Last night, US Energy Information Administration released a report that showed US crude reserves grew by 250,000 barrels in the week ending April 5th to around 389 million barrels.
