KUWAIT: Official sources disclosed that KOC was in the process of constructing 50 oil drilling towers within the next seven years in addition to the seven towers that are currently in existence, as these towers were very much in demand.
They said that Kuwait Petroleum Corporation intended to sell its share in the Kuwait Drilling Company at a very low price, despite that the fact that the company had a liquidity surplus. Officials at KPC however claimed that they did not require this share, which was rejected during the tenure of the ex-Oil Minister Sheikh Ali Al-Jarrah. The Kuwait Petroleum Corporation owns 49 percent of the Kuwait Drilling Company and is considered as one of the major corporations in the field.
