Khaleeji Commercial Bank has participated as a silver sponsor in AAOIFI's Annual Shari'a conference held in Diplomat hotel on 15-16 April. The conference attracted many participants from different Islamic financial institutions in and outside Bahrain.

The conference discussed many topics related to Islamic banking including the role of Maqassed Al Shari'a (Intents of Sharia) in directing Islamic contracts, the difference between assets backed securities and assets based securities, the relationship between assets and their inherent risks, and the stipulations of lender's benefits from loans.

The Bank's representatives in the conference participated in its presentations discussion and group workshops and shared their experiences with other participants.
