BEIRUT (Zawya Dow Jones)--At least 50 local and international companies have in the past two weeks expressed their interest in two local projects, Kuwait-based Al Qabas daily reports Monday, citing the head of Kuwait's state-run Partnerships Technical Bureau, or PTB.
These two ventures consist of a liquid waste disposal project and a project to build residential cities for workers, Adel Al Roumi, told the paper.
Projects worth 6 billion Kuwaiti dinars ($21.6 billion) will be launched this year in the power generation and solid and liquid waste recycling sectors, in addition to a metro project, whose cost is estimated at KWD3 billion, he told Al Qabas.
