Baghdad - The Speaker of Friday Prayers Sermon in Karbala, also representative of the religious authority, Sheikh Abdul Mahdi al-Karbalai, urged winning political blocs in the provincial elections to adopt basic criteria in selecting people for local government positions.

He also praised adopting dialogue among the leaders of the blocs, hoping at the same time that the intentions are honest towards ending differences.

Karbalai urged the citizens to pay attention to hygiene and the environment, pointing out that the country's environment has become polluted and the streets are filled with waste.
