KUWAIT, May 14 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) said Monday it had managed stop a leak of one of its major pipelines, which was feeding crude to the southern Ahmadi Port refinery.

The leak which started early on Sunday was stopped, with the help of a team from Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC), said a KOC statement. Meanwhile, operations did not cease as the company had a back-up pipeline.

All necessary precautions have been taken to insure the flow of exports, KOC stressed, adding that an investigation panel into the incident will be launched according to company regulations.
