By Miyoko Ishigami (with photo) BEIJING, Oct 8 (KUNA) -- Kuwaiti Ambassador to China Mohammad Al-Thuwaikh said Saturday the planned establishment of Kuwait Investment Authority (KIA) representative office in Beijing will be a significant step for his country to explore enormous investment opportunities in the Asian nation.

In a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Al-Thuwaikh said the opening of KIA representative office, which is due soon, reflects political and economic objectives in the development of Sino-Kuwait sound relations.

"The move is also a clear evidence of the keenness of the two friendly countries' leaderships, governments and people for strengthening bilateral cooperation," the diplomat underlined. "Moreover, it is inevitable for KIA to gain a foothold here, given that China has witnessed the rapid economic growth with stable environment, a high standard of living and diversity," he said, noting that China attracts huge investments from all over the world.
