AMMAN -- Deputising for Prime Minister Awn Khasawneh, Planning and International Cooperation Minister Jafar Hassan on Monday took part in the 14th Arab Business Forum, which opened yesterday in Doha, according to a Ministry of Planning statement.
In a speech, Hassan mentioned three priorities for the Jordanian government. The first was to provide liquidity and capital for the private sector at the lowest cost in order to raise its competitiveness besides supporting small- and medium-sized enterprises.
The second was to raise the productivity and enhance partnership between the government and the private sector in drawing competitiveness policies and increasing connection between various industries and universities. The third was implementing regional and strategic investment projects with the partnership of the private sector. Jordan seeks to implement a number of megaprojects in various sectors including energy, transport and water.
